Okay, so I gave in to my kids and we got 2 - not 1 - 2 puppies!  There are so many reasons why this wasn't a good idea:  think early morning yapping, housetraining, chewing on chair legs, housetraining, having to hurry home from everywhere and, well, housetraining.  'Nough said.  however, I have found a great new exercise regime in running and playing with these little buggers.  They're cute, they have endless energy and it's actually a lot of fun.  And, as an added bonus, they chill out after a good dose of "run around the yard with Mom".  At least every hour, I get up and take them outside and run with them - that's quite different than my lifestyle before they arrived.  I guess they're not as bad as I thought - got a lemon, make lemonade I say!!  So - get a puppy - get 2, they're small - and chase them around the yard several times a day.  Between the laughter and the running, you'll be getting a great workout - and be in a much better mood.
